Great view from this spot. Interesting history presented. Short flight of stairs to top. Don't miss this when visiting Fort Caroline.
The Ribault Monument provides an excellent view of the St. Johns River. Although there isn't much to see/do at the monument, you don't have to worry about crowds while taking in the spectacular views. It is just a small monument but with parking space good for twenty cars! What were they thinking! Anyway, the draw for this monument is the great view of the river below.
The monument is off the trail from the park so you can either walk the trail there or just peep it by driving over to the area. This is free to the public. Gorgeous monument, but it is all that is there other than a nice view. Little kids will get very bored very quickly. For history lovers.
This site is a short drive from Fort Caroline, there is parking, an easy walk up to the replica stone column, that was originally erected in 1562. Good views of St John's river and you can watch the big ships arriving from all over the world to deliver their goods. Excellent especially when it is free.

This has one of the best views of the St Johns River. It is just a monument not a park so there is no walking trail or anything other than the monument. Not the easiest place to find but well worth the hunt as it is one of the highest points in Jacksonville thus making the view awesome. I have... 更多
