We were very impressed by the entire property which encompasses 11 different ecosystems. There are two easy to walk trails. The longer one climbs a hill (gently). There are signs along the way giving information about the different ecosystems and the plants that you see. We had a very enjoyable afternoon. Some people bring cheerios to feed to the fish... 更多
Changes are great and it is always changing. Nice walking areas but can be a little tricky in some areas. Great for kids to explore with adult supervision
We stopped here to kill some time while waiting for The Cummer Museum to open on a Sunday morning. I was not expecting much maybe a trail or two but we were blown away with the Arboreteum. It's beautiful! We hiked two different trails with our kids, stopped for numerous photos, and read and learned about native plants. What I... 更多
We went on a whim looking for a nice place to walk. Loved all the little signs with descriptions, especially the ones with pictures showing what the now dormant plants will look like. Meandered through 3 trails and was amazed at the diversity, uplands, wetlands, creek area and barrens. It was nice and quiet and peaceful, not too many people.... 更多
The Arboretum is located on 120 acre site with lush landscape, two small lakes And many well marked trails. The signs for plants and trees help to identify the many native species. People were friendly saw allot of dogs being walker (must be on leash). Make sure to take a walking stick in case you run into critters you don't... 更多
What a great weekend in Jacksonville. After a great breakfast we had about 90 minutes before we needed to head to the airport. The arboretum is free and very popular with dog lovers, hikers, nature lovers, and folks that just need to relax along the winding trails. There must have been over 100 people in the park, but it felt... 更多
Really delighted by how clean the grounds were, how well-marked and labeled things were. Very pleasant hour-plus walking around. There were no paper maps at the front, but the info area had good detailed info about the various trails and loops, enabling us to make choices appropriate for our various needs.
Several well marked trails are available - lots of marked flora. This is a great place to walk, loads of shade. The longest trail is just 1 mile so it is quite a manageable place for strolling. We did all the trails and some twice to make it a bit more rigorous. Learned about Reindeer Lichen and read some pretty... 更多
The entrance is not to far the highway which makes it a good stop if you are driving through. Of course the signs warning of break ins did give us pause. We had no issue with that on our Sunday morning visit. The trails were relatively easy and not too long which is what we wanted.
