Two of the best things are the free parking and the special area for children to unwind. Also, one of the best human skeleton displays showing in fine detail every tendon, muscle, nerve and blood vessel we have. Fascinating cut aways of the body in motion. Another area I liked was the way this museum presented the history of electricity.... 更多
This is not a huge museum - but it is thoughtfully planned and strikes a great balance between history, education, display and science. As a newcomer to Jacksonville I learned about history of the area, local flora and fauna and got a sense of the changes that the area has been through. The display about "the body" was educational and... 更多
Having visited science museums in various states such as Oregon (Omsi) and Charlotte, NC, this museum left much to be desired. Very few hands-on exhibits and the few that they did have were not fully functional. 3rd floor a waste of time. The body exhibit was interesting. I couldn't recommend this to anyone unless it was on a $5 Friday... 更多
Our family had a great time- ages from 7-73! Everyone found something that appealed to them! This is a wonderful and educational way to spend a day out of the sunshine! Easy to find and free parking! Get there at opening time and you will certainly get parking!
Wonderful museum full of history of the Jacksonville area with plenty of displays and hands on experiences. The theatre is very well planned out and comfy for ultimate viewing on 360 degree ceiling screening. Sitting in the back rows is better for ultimate viewing.
I love MOSH! The Florida history section is my favorite and it really makes you appreciate the under told story of our state. My six year old really enjoys it as well.
We visited the MOSH with our Grandsons ages 6 and 5. We all enjoyed it. The 6 year old really enjoyed the Sesame Street themed Planetarium exhibit. The cost of admission is very reasonable, the parking is free and the Riverside setting is nice.
We wanted to get out and about on a cloudy rainy day and realized we hadn't visited the MOSH before. Our family of 4 (2 kids 12 and 3) headed downtown. The parking was simple and free. It happened to be the first weekend of the month and that is the Museums on Us weekend for Bank of America customers... 更多
MOSH is a standard museum that is geared towards teenagers and adults because there is a lack of hands-on exhibits for elementary aged children. Each exhibit has clear informative signs and audio explanations. The best exhibits for children were the intertidal hands on experience and the Florida Naturalist's Center. You can see the whole museum in two hours. Also, make... 更多
