Not really that many shops; mostly good restaurants. Nice waterways and some summer-time music too. Draeger's market has some great wines and a nice (expensive) meat/seafood counter. The Blackhawk Museum is worth a visit if you enjoy antique cars.
My friend and I went there for a some girl time. We did some shopping, browsing and eating. We were able to sit on a patio at the restaurant and watch ducks swim, and hear the waterfall. We (a couple) visited Blackhawk Plaza one day in November and were impressed by its atmosphere. The whole place was drowning in nature because of many plants and flowers around.
