I like to park in Conshohocken and ride east so you can see the urbanization unfold. Beware of some slippery sections along the Manyunk Canal portion - you may want to walk a bit. 3rd week of Sept, is Manayuk's falls festival, which was mostly food tricks parked along main street, plus some bands. I've been to better festivals in... 更多
Was in town for a work visit and located this trail which is pretty cool due to its length, history (proximity to valley forge park), and general nice views/woods. I was looking for dirt-trails, though opted to give this a try. Ended up running on consecutive days, so I guess it was pretty good. For a cyclist, this would be... 更多
Busy, busy, busy. I see it from outside my condo window. Amazing how many in Philly participate in athletics. Terrific. We may stand a chance after all. It's long and I'm sure it must be a challenge. If only I could, I'm well over 70 now but still dream.
This trail was at the bottom of our street and we didn't realise until the day before we were leaving. Good access from Walnut, Locust and South street up the trail to Fairmont Park and The Philadelphia Art Museum. Excellent Information boards and view points. Sculptures, benches, water fountains. People were running, jogging walking, sunbathing, stringing up hammocks, children playing,... 更多
The Schuylkill River Trail runs all the way from Philadelphia to King of Prussia. That is quite a stretch but it is beautiful. A lot of the trail is dedicated for bikes or pedestrians only but it is a mixed big with some on street sections. There are bike lines on some of the off trail sections but the ride... 更多
I ride the Schuylkill River Trail about once a month. There are several places to park, from Oaks down to Manayunk. There are some businesses popping up now that cater to people using the trial, such as the bike/coffee shop in Conshohocken. Most of the trail is paved, which makes riding easier. The views can be very nice during fall... 更多
We drove to Norristown and took the train with our bikes to Manyunk. We then peddled bake to Norristown doing all the geocaches along the way. Boy is my gluteus Maximus sore. Great scenery, crazy high speed bikers, plenty of walkers.
I was visiting a friend at Drexel and we went for a run on this trail. It was packed which sucks a little bit for running, but that shows that this is a good and popular trail! The pavement was in good shape and it offered some nice views of the city. I would definitely come here and run next... 更多
On our recent trip to Philadelphia, one reason for booking our hotel west of City Hall was to be close to this trail. Had the opportunity for some early morning runs through center city and onto the Schylkill River Trail. Even with what seemed to me to be a large number of runners, and a few cyclists, this wide trail... 更多
