this was a neat little time warp. we loved seeing some the write brothers work up close. the larger museum offers way more insight into the lives of the write brother and time period.
My husband and I visited the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, a cycle shop, and the place where their residence once stood. We enjoyed the visit immensely and would have loved to visit other parts of the complex, except they were closing early for the day. We thought that the center was informative and well-done. Would love to go back some day... 更多
I was in Dayton for Hamvention and arrived a day early. Having just read David McCullough's new book about the Wright brothers, I was interested in this museum. A lot of the things I saw were fresh in my mind, which certainly enhanced my experience. It's all nicely done. My only criticism: I found it a little hard to find.... 更多
The movie is very informative about the effort that the Wright Brothers put into understanding and mastering the priciples of flight
Separate to the Historical Park next door but you get a private tour when a Ranger is available. Our Guide loved to get out of the Office and was both engaging & informative. I failed to note his name in my notes but got him on camera, Smile & take a bow , Ranger Smith !! Gave some amusing anecdotes... 更多
Very comprehensive and well layed out historical site. The rangers were very friendly and informative. Lot's of hands on exhibits to help explain the Wright Brothers work.
Nice small museum. Start at the main museum by watching the movie. The park rangers are very informative and friendly. Bicycle Shop is next door. Walking distance to the lot where the Wright family lived. Kiddie corner is a replica of the original home. Admission is free. Parking lot is tricky to find, but just drive around the block and... 更多
Where better to stop when you reach Dayton then the place where the Wright Brothers started it all? Definitely worth the stop and you can't beat the price of free! Sit down for a bit and watch the movie they play that details the brothers story, it's very well done.
We stopped here unexpectedly. It is located in old Dayton in an area of the city they are working on reviving. The museum itself is two parts. The original house where they ran their printing shop and their bike shop in a separate building. Interesting and full of history and items used. Worth a stop!
The Wright Cycle Company is a small building just across the courtyard from the main Dayton Aviation Heritage site. It's not exactly well-advertised as a destination, but we wandered in and met Ranger Robert, who told us about the Wright Brothers' work in that shop with bicycles, and how it affected their flying experiments. It was a really great tour,... 更多
