I have looked on the map many times and wondered how this park would be. I have always heard about the Cumberland Gap all through school and as I read history so I had a natural interest in this. When coming back from a vacation in the Smokies, I felt this would be a worthy side trip. And it was.... 更多
My husband and 10 year old visited here in the morning before crowds form. The scenery is beautiful and there are opportunities for hiking on nice trails. I'm glad we stopped here and experienced some history and beauty. We didn't go into the visitor's center, but explored around Cumberland Gap, TN and drove to the top of the overlook.
Not loaded with things to do; however, getting back to nature at its fullest. This Park has a Pinnacle Overlook that you can see God's creations for miles and miles. Its a great and breath taking view. The Pinnacle is free however the tours cost money. We managed to do the free stuff ... then we headed out. Tours to... 更多

National Historical Park adds a lot more than hiking for the history nut. It has new HD movies about Daniel Boone and the westward movement. There are also two State Parks... 更多
On our way to Louisville & attempting to see some of the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, we were treated to another superb National Park at Cumberland Gap. Our National Parks always do it right, so we were confident we were in for some fun learning. Who knew that the "Gap" trail here is like a funnel of living history from... 更多
