We had a great visit at the Battlefield today. We started in the visitor center with the light up map presentation and the film. Both give a great perspective on the battle and how it was fought. The walking tour is the best way to see the battlefield. The stations throughout the walk help you understand just how close the... 更多
We stopped here during a tour of the Carolina National Park Service units. I grew up in the North. Revolutionary War teaching really centered on the big Northern highlights - Philadelphia, New York, and Boston; Washington's Crossing; and then they went south and it all ended at Yorktown. That really isn't all of it. There was a very active Southern... 更多
Cowpens National Battlefield is part of the National Park Service. This park has a very nice visitors center with great knowledgeable Rangers, good exhibits and a great film. The battlefield walking tour is very accessible and is nicely done with stations along the way. The picnic grounds are excellent with a large group picnic site and smaller individual sites set... 更多
We stopped to visit the Cowpens National Park and had a very nice visit. There were two different presentations of the battle and historic artifacts museum. We went on the battlefield tour and was quite impressed with the enthusiasm of the Park Ranger that was our tour guide. A great 4th of July visit.
Not too many people realize the battles fought in the south during the Revolutionary War and how significant they were. Cowpens is a wonderful example of a "small" battle that contributed significantly in our quest for independence. The Visitor Center is small but inviting. The park rangers are super friendly and very helpful. The battle is explained very well and... 更多
We loved this place. If you enjoy history and being where it all happened, you will love this place. It is a walking tour that takes as long as you want, at what pace you want to walk it. There is seating all along the paths where you can sit and rest if needed. There are illustrated placks all along... 更多
A nice visitors center. All of our questions were answered. Do not miss the film. This film does an excellent job of explaining the battle. We enjoyed our tour. This is a must-stop for history buffs.
I go here to jog. But the first couple times I went I took the time to go walk thru, read all the signs along the way, and enjoy the history. Now, when I go jog, I enjoy the beauty of the area, as well as knowing the relevance of what took place there so many years ago. The park... 更多
I have been to many battlefields and taken many battlefield tours but the tour I took here really made the battle come alive as we walked the very path Tarleton's army traveled. The guide was very knowledgeable about the battle, the Revolutionary War and military history. I was concerned my 80 year old father in-law would find the mile (or... 更多
We went here with my teenage children and my parents and we enjoyed this area. The museum contains a number of artifacts from the battle and explains the two sides very well. They also provide a video explaining the battle and those participating that was easy to follow and really put everything into perspective. The battlefield is well marked, showing... 更多
