Thist open air market was the best I have ever been to! They have so much to to choose from! More than just fruits and veggies! Not too big or too small~just right!
Technically I was there during the French Market, that they do once a year, but I have a feeling some of the vendors are probably the same at the farmers market. Good selection and beautiful location. Love how dog friendly the area is.
There is a variety of locally grown or produced goods. Free samples, too! Lots of fresh produce. Everything from dips, soaps, sauces, fresh seafood, as well as art. The view is beautiful and the shops are all open as well.
When we arrived we noticed all the vendors set up in the park and enjoyed stopping by each spot. Samples of foods being offered were available. We bought kettle corn, and a couple of items from the produce booth. The locally grown tomatoes were so good. The art works were really nice.
The Yorktown Farmers Market is as much of a social event as it is a place to buy things. While it has a good selection of farmers, there are other vendors selling jams, barbecue sauce, pet treats and a wide variety of other items. I've seen my share of farmer's markets and this one is exceedingly average. Only 1/2 of the vendors actually sell produce or fresh meat/fish products. The rest are homemade sauces, jams, soaps. I only go if I need a few items like melons, tomatoes, soft shell crabs. The Williamsburg one is way better. Go drive the extra 1/2 hour to... 更多
