I had been to the Ranch in Perryvills. When a friend was visiting the Clinton Library ~ we went to the headquarters and was so enamored with all the information. great gift shop also
I had a guided private tour of Heifer International and it was such an enlightening and educational experience I decided to help Heifer in whatever capacity possible. Their work as well as the design of the whole place is very progressive and a must see and hear :).
There are 2 buildings on the property, the heifer village, which serves as the visitor center. It has different activities to teach you (especially children) about their mission and how they teach sustainable living. Then there is the headquarters building. I am a supporter of Heifer International and it was closed when we got here on Sunday so I was kind of sad. I had to drive around it though and get a picture.
Visits have been to the headquarters for meetings. So, my view reflects the usability of the building rather than a tourist site. It is remarkable how the building gives a feeling of openness yet operates with energy efficiency.
Right next door to the Clinton library and steps away from the Arkansas river this lead certified building is super awesome. Go through the village to see Heifer's work all over the World. Walking distance from downtown!
Heifer International is one of my favorite charities and it's very close to the Clinton Presidential Library. We just walked from one to the other. The building is LEED certified and it's stunning.
