As part of the National Park we went to investigate to learn more about this and were surprised about this discovery of not so long ago. Truly amazing - and some of the art they have shown was outstanding! Put it on your list!
My family is from Brooklyn but I live in UK. I've made a point of visiting the burial ground every time that I've come to New York. It's so beautiful and there is a serene and sad atmosphere but definitely worth a visit.

Had to flag down a park services worker, because despite the sign that said they were open Mondays, they were not. It was a shame, because we would have liked to have been able to walk along the memorial in the diaspora section. Sobering place, all those burials, such an emotional reaction just walking up to it.
