Mayo Beach is calm waters beach that I usually see a lot of families with children at. The perking lot is close and they recently rebuilt the walkway to the beach. If you are into photography, then this is an easy place to get to
After reading the reviews, we planned one day of our one week vacation for Mayo Beach to accommodate a few in our group that could not make the climb to the ocean beaches. We drove by the prior day to see Mayo beach and it looked perfect. WOW, were we disappointed. When we arrived it was low tide which exposed... 更多
Beach yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30am all summer long! All classes are Drop-in and suitable for all levels. Bring a towel and some water. You will love it!
Unlike most beaches in he area at Mayo beach you do not need a sticker or cash to get into this beach. Lost of clam and scallop fisherman, you can see them at low tide and even talk to them! Lost of crabs and hermit crabs, snails and small fish, poky for the little ones feet! Wear sandals, not flip... 更多
Most of Wellfleet's beaches require a 3-day $45 parking sticker and are quite steep to get to. But Mayo beach (located on the bayside) has free parking, no entrance fee, and is the same height as the sidewalk, allowing easy accessibility for baby carriages and strollers. The beach is sandy and comfortable and is in close proximity to restaurants and... 更多
I've been coming to the Cape my whole life but only just discovered the whole Wellfleet harbor area! This beach is so easy to park at (free!), a very short walk to the water, and nice and calm whether the tide is out or in. You can easily spend a few hours at the beach, make your way to the... 更多
A small beach on the north side of the Wellfleet Harbor, Mayo Beach offers an opportunity for a refreshing swim in the heart of town. More interesting is a leisurely stroll from the harbor to the original lighthouse (now a private residence) with a full view of the entrance to the harbor. A constant flow of boats along with local... 更多
Every year I stay in a nice little cabin right on Mayo Beach. It's perfect to be less than 20 feet from the water. We love going out and having drinks by the water. The water is so much warmer in the bay and lots of sea life to enjoy! Great for kids as the waves are very calm.
Great place to take young children. Practicaly no waves since this is on the harbor. Free parking. Bathrooms nearby. Nice views. food nearby.
This beach offers warm water, no surf and very gradual entry. It's a little rocky so I'd suggest water shoes but it's perfect for small children or those who prefer calm water. It's great for a quiet float in the ocean.
