Don't bother going there just to see the station. The station itself is long gone, sacrificed to the elements, and an eroding cliffside. There is no evidence of aNY man made structures, nor is there any museum featuring artifacts of this significant event in telecommunication history. Instead go there to see the senic vista overlooking the Atlantic. That is worth... 更多
This is the site of the first transatlantic radio station established by Marconi near the turn of the 20th century. The ocean has taken just about all of the remains of the station, and the National Park Service removed a memorial a few years ago before the ocean could get it. The views are fantastic from the top of the... 更多
This was a very pretty place and we walked for a couple of hours, we saw many seals along the way and even came upon a large group of seals, about 25 or so, it was hard to count them all as they diving under the surface a lot. The dunes were beautiful and were all of the rocks and... 更多
Interesting to see and learn about early communication and the efforts of Marconi. I try to imagine how challenging it was, and his perseverance to accomplish his goals. Lessons we can learn from. And now you can see what nature has done to such a site as life goes on. While there enjoy the views and the beach too.
Interesting model of the Marconi Station as it was first set up 90? years ago. Also. when looking down towards the ocean, there are many seals sunning themselves or swimming near the shore. Sometimes, a shark appears and they scramble to the sand.
There's not much here except a few trails and a couple of viewing stations, and the vast expanse of sand and sea stretching eastward to Europe and Africa, but the view from 170 feet above the surf is spectacular and sublime. Visit for 10 minutes and remember it forever.
This trip to the cape we made it a point to drive around and explore. The pro of doing this off season is fewer people, the con is not everything is open. While driving up Rt 6 we saw the sign for Marconi Station and spontaneously made the turn. Not yet open for the season we were still able to... 更多
Marconi Station is not only a historic site but a beautiful place that is part of the National Seashore on Cape Cod. It is a place that has the mark of nature - ocean, storms, seasons. If you are on the Cape this is a place worth a visit.
