The overlook provide amazing view of the White House, it is in a very high location so be careful mainly if you are with kids. This stop allows you to walk the trail without a tour guide - enjoy it!
One of the highlights of the South Rim drive. The trail is a little confusing (especially on the return) but go round the full circuit...great views from all angles. Take a long lens if you want to photograph the ruins - they're across the canyon. Gorgeous on a day with some clouds!
Part of the rim drive, this is an amazing overlook. The drop is fatal, so please keep pets and children leashed. ;)
White House Overlook is part of the South Rim Drive inside Canyon de Chelly National Monument. It is named for the ruins that can be seen towards the bottom of the canyon. There is a trail that visitors can access to see the ruins up close. This overlook has a very large parking lot and it has bathroom facilities. We... 更多
It is an easy walk from the parking lot to this overlook, which is also the start of the only trail into the Canyon without a Navajo guide. A pair of binoculars come in handy.to see this great structure.
This is one of the more well known overlooks at Canyon de Chelly. It's a fantastic view of the canyon below, and really helps in understanding how people lived down there. It remains a view of nature, even with a human settlement within it. If you have binoculars, bring them for an even better view - it's a long way... 更多
Took a short tour with Canyon de Chelly Tours, only 3 hours but worth it. Was able to view from the top of the rim drive first and then my tour driver too us down into the canyon for 3 hours. This area is magnificent. Kind of like a small Grand Canyon but very beautiful in every way.
This is a great stop along the South Rim Trail. You can do the 1 1/2 hour trek to the Canyon bottom from this point. One of the few places you can travel by foot in the park without a guide. If you stay on top and just enjoy the views it is still remarkable.
Like Spider Rock, this is an overview you should not miss – quit apart from the fact that this is also the start of the White House Ruin trail, the only access to the canyon open to visitors without a guide. Awesome views!
