We accidentally stumbled upon this place on our way back from the Kennedy space centre. This was such a wonderful place to see such a natural part of Florida. There are various walking routes available, we only walked 1 and I'm sure all the others are just as spectacular.
Beautiful and informational park to visit (free access) with ample parking, visitor center with educational displays, small shop, restrooms. Open Tuesday - Sunday 9-5 and staffed by great volunteers; check for special presentations and events. Guided tours and senior tours available with prior notice. Picnic area, outdoor arena, butterfly garden and lots of natural trails (1/10 to 1 mile) through... 更多
We happened upon this little gem from the city website. It is a local park that has walking paths and shows you a great overview of the different plants of Florida. Located on the southern edge of town I hear it is frequented by locals as well as tourists. There were boggy areas, sandy path areas, and areas with wood... 更多
While on vacation my husband and I were hankering for some exercise and did the 5k trail on a Saturday morning. It was very peaceful. It was all level, no hills. The trail had a variety of conditions...sand, leaf-covered, mud (it had recently trained) and boardwalk. It was well marked and easy to follow. Very enjoyable.
VERY interesting. Enjoyed many diverse plants & trees. Only wildlife this day were wild hogs. Nice wooded boardwalks and several trails. Came a storm, so didn't walk all of it. Will definitely be back. Worth the visit…free!
This county park is very well preserved. You don't see any trash on the trails and the foliage is nicely maintained along the boardwalks. I love the primitive trails-lots to see in there. Not too many people hike way in the back, so it's nice and peaceful. The store has some cute items at reasonable prices. They have a little... 更多
I led several photography workshops at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary and I must say - I was enchanted! Easy to find and if you would like a nice quiet forest stroll, do plan to visit and spend an hour or two in this nice little sanctuary and see how many Florida critters you can find.
