This stop along the parkway was disappointing, at least to me. Perhaps I didn't walk in far enough but my goal was just viewing and not hiking at the time. There are better and more scenic places along the highway so just keep driving ....
Great stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway for beautiful views and rich and varied vegetation. Helpful staff to answer all questions, as well as print materials.
A beautiful stop on the Parkway...lovely any time of day, spectacular for a sunset and ideal for a picnic. Enjoy blueberries if you can beat the bears to them!

We have been here many times, but this was the first time is was actually warm! We spread out our blanket, and took a well needed 15 minutes of shut-eye. My husband is handicapped, so we were not able to do the climb, but the picnic area is very peaceful.
We started our trip up to Craggy Gardens and the temperature was 92. When we reached the parking lot and then hiked to the overlook it was 68 degrees and windy. We did this to watch the sunset however rain clouds moved in. However it still was a beautiful view. I had forgotten my tennis shoes and had flip flops... 更多
