Would have liked to have known in advance that there was a possibility of having to stand for the entire 5 hour trip. (boat was crowded, and there was nowhere for us to sit...) Couldn't hear the biologist's spiel over the microphone. Very little wildlife observed - no real information given about the Farallon Islands. Several passengers were quite ill,... 更多
We had limited view of a few whales and no sharks, but the ride and trip out into the Pacific was well worth it. The crew was great, and experience to always remember. Will do again in the future.
The trip was cancelled 30 mins before departure having just paid $30 for a taxi to get there! We wondered if they just didn't have enough people?
I booked for Nov. 1 (instead of the day before) because the boat was supposed to be the catamaran, which is more stable, not the Happy Days boat. However, they put us on the boat instead and I subsequently spent a lovely five hours with my head over the side of the boat. There weren't enough seats in the cabin... 更多
We found the staff to be friendly and informative. We did see whales - from a distance. We were both unable to get a picture. But, at least we saw the whale-spray and a bit of their backs. I get that these are wild animals and its chancy that we'll see them at all. I'm very grateful for the opportunity.... 更多
The boat (Happy Days) is too small for the 25+ people who were on it, yesterday. We spent most of our time chasing Humpback Whale spouts and trying to get a better look at them. We saw some brief views of their backs and flukes, at 100 yards away. We bobbed in the ocean way too long for anyone's comfort.... 更多
This is was a great trip. We saw several whales . Will do it again on my next visit to the Bay Area . It only took about 2 hours.
Did the 3 hour tour and we got 2 see a pretty cool site. 2 humpback wales were hunting and it brought in quiet the crowd of birds and sea lions! It was a pretty cool site to see.
We bought tickets for the 2.5 hour tour around the Bay area. The captain was friendly and funny, and the naturalist was knowledgeable. We lucked out and saw humpback whales in the actual bay, we didn't have to go out past the Golden Gate Bridge. It was fun, didn't take the whole day, and exciting to see the wildlife in... 更多
This was a great whale watching experience and one I would recommend to others. We got to see four humpback in total; one of which did wide circles around our boat and displayed a unique feeding strategy: he would surface/eat anchovy upside down so that his belly and pectoral fins were showing often! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable (he... 更多
