This is a beautiful bay with several interesting features. There's the land bridge to Bar Island, which is interesting but requires careful attention to the tides (it is possible to get stranded on the island if you aren't careful). There are numerous boat excursions ranging from whale watching to sightseeing and nature to sailing on a schooner. You can watch...
There are many different ways to see and enjoy Frenchman Bay. Do your homework and decide which is the best for you....rent a boat or maybe a kayak, take a cruise, sail on the Margaret Todd...or just sit in the park and enjoy the view from land!
Lots of great eating places along the pretty pier and waterfront. Boat rentals and tours can be chartered here. We went on a kayak tour which took us around several islands and along the shoreline. It was a lot of fun.
My wife and I like to come out and watch the boats. Sometimes we pack along a picnic or go somewhere in town for lunch. It can get hectic and crowded with tourists, but the sky and sea put on one heck of a show every night at sunset.
