The rangers at the visitors center are very helpful with suggestions about what is worth seeing and what is not. If you have a limited time they will suggest the best things to see in a short time. Nice gift shop
Mobility challenged people may want to drive to the left to small parking area that has a number of handicapped parking spaces and a very poorly marked but available black-top ramp (no steps) to the lower level of the building where there are both restrooms and elevator to the main floor.
Stopped in to purchase our park pass, and had to trundle up 50-60 stairs to get there. Really? I was here to view the park and wasn't planning on hiking especially at the visitor center. Mostly kidding, it was the quickest access to getting the pass and a map.
Just come here to buy your park pass and look around just a bit. The rangers are helpful in providing hiking information and other knowledge about the park, but overall this place is lackluster compared to the larger national park visitor centers around the nation. This place feels more on the level of an average state park. The theater with... 更多
It's always a good place to start your visit to any National Park. Unfortunately, the Ranger we spoke with was not very helpful. We were a little surprised. Buy the $5 trail map and you get as much info. Then go ahead and enjoy yourself in a wonderful Park.
This is a good location to begin your adventures in and around Bar Harbor. This seems to be the first visitor's center a tourist will come across as you drive in on route 3. It was always bustling. The facility is well staffed and ready to answer your questions. Abundant resources available to buy to inform tourist of things to... 更多
You should visit this place prior to going into the park. They have maps and the staff will answer questions and concerns. One note is that you have to go up many stairs to get to the center, but you could always drive around the back to skip some stairs. They have many items to purchase and of course, rest... 更多
The Hulls Cove VC is where you start out on the Park Loop Road. Stop at the VC first to get your park permit, see the intro movie, get useful info and use the restrooms. Limited mobility folks should be aware that there are several flights of stairs ascending to the VC from the parking lot. Parking can be hard... 更多
Very busy when we visited. However, the park ranger took her time and answered all questions using a map to reinforce her directions. Worth the wait for excellent service.
