We did the hike to Ka'eana Point and dropped by this beach to check it out. We ended up staying for hours because it was not crowded and it was a lot of fun! The waves are strong, so if you stand at the shoreline be sure to brace yourself. The wave can knock you down if you are not... 更多
This beach is an easy 30-minute drive from the Ko Olina hotels, and is also the jumping-off point for the Ka'ena Point hike. When we visited on a weekday, the beach was almost deserted except for a few fishermen. No homeless people, no tourists... just beautiful waves and sand. The surf was too rough for any but expert swimmers when... 更多
This beach is just glorious, with mountains as a wonderful backdrop. The waves were a bit rough, making swimming a bit of a challenge. It was fun to watch the surfers.
Great place to go for more wave action and it's a pleasant drive. There is a hiking trail along the beach to Kaena Point at the tip of the island but wear good shoes and bring water. Another trail on the top of the mountain behind the beach requires a permit from the state forestry in Honolulu
The beach is lovely and the views are wonderful. When I visited, there were very few other visitors. I was able to read my book in peace for four hours. I stayed to watch the sunset and was not disappointed. Loved every minute of my time here!
Enjoyed this beach on a weekday. Nice sand and restroom and shower nearby to parking. Wave action was low due to offshore winds but the south end of the beach was closed due to undertow. Take umbrella as the sun was intense. Pack a cooler with water and snacks as there are no places to eat once you leave Wianae.... 更多
Still like Yokohama although I've found a better beach for chillin' and snorkeling on the west side. Stopped here about a month ago after hiking up on the mountain by the golf balls. The beach was closed due to huge waves. Wow! Got some shots of the waves -- and the pics just don't do justice for the size and... 更多
Wish we had more time so we could've hiked but we enjoyed the waves crashing and it's great for photo's of your family. Keep driving the West side of Oahu til it dead ends and it's beautiful. I think lots of tourists miss this point..........too bad for them.
