We travelled with a group of 26 persons to the Luau. We had pre-booked previously through Discount Hawaii and when we arrived we had tables reserved for us beside the stage. The food was typical Luau food and was excellent. The show was the story of the Polynesian people discovering Hawaii and was excellent. After the show the performers greeted... 更多
This was my first experience of a traditional Luau. We were warmly greeted and show to our seats. The event was under a large roof with plenty of openings throughout the facility. If it rains, then this facility is ideal wet of dry depending on the weather. It was a very joyful atmosphere. The buffet was excellent. The variety on... 更多
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Resort in Poipu, which also has a luau. However, based on their mixed reviews, we decided to drive the 30 minutes to Luau Kalamaku. It was well worth the drive! Overall, the food was pretty good, but they pig and rice pudding with rum sauce really stood out. We had plenty of time to... 更多
We did the Tuesday night luau. It is on the grounds of Kilihano Plantation. As you turn into the property, you are directed to the parking. Next to check in. Bring your reservation confirmation. The earlier you book, the closer to the main stage. You can pay more for stage tables, but our table was perfect at no extra cost.... 更多
This is a nice Luau and worth the price of the "gold" seating where we felt the heat from the fire dancers. Typical luau buffet that was okay and free flowing drinks that were good. Show had nice costumes and "story". Very touristy but well run.
This was the first time I have ever experienced a Luau and I really had no intention of going to one while in Kauai, but was strongly recommended by our concierge to attend one before leaving. This was a very good experience as the show was very well done. My only complaint is that the place is so big that... 更多
They have you check in 90 minutes before food is to be served. During this time you get your picture taken, browse arts and crafts, enjoy the open bar and either tour the plantation on a train or watch the imu ceremony. They started serving salad before the scheduled time so those watching the imu ceremony at the pit arrived... 更多
Great evening at the Luau. We went early and enjoyed rum tasting and shopping. Get there early for the rum tasting as you must sign up for a session and they fill quickly. You can purchase rum onsite with packing for suitcase check-on bag. Coffee Rum was the featured flavor during our visit. The luau opened around 5pm with a... 更多
Very authentic Hawaii Luau. Dinner service was wonderful...Food was great. All of the staff so helpful and polite. The show was fabulous. The entire dance group was great. I especially loved the fire dancers...I am amazed someone didn't catch on fire. This is a show I would love to see again!!! Thank you all.
I've seen some of the negative reviews and don't understand. First the food and drinks are great and plentiful. The show is great too. It is more if a "talk story" than a Las Vegas type show. It tells the story of coming to Hawaii rather than a bunch of hula dancers, fire dancers etc. This is an attempt to... 更多
