The Smith family has been putting on luaus for 30 years and it shows. They really know how to handle a crowd. Very well done. Lovely grounds, nice facility, pleasant entertainment. They show you the grounds (on your own or by tram), show you how the pigs are cooked with a bit of flourish and then escort you in to... 更多
The Smith Family offer a great trip up the Wailua river to the Fern Grotto. The trip starts at the Smith Family landing where you embark on one their river boats. We were entertained by several family members on ukulele, guitar, and voice. We were also instructed on the hula with one of the beautiful ladies demonstrating the graceful storytelling... 更多
The Fern Grotto, Tropical Gardens, and Luau is located on property. The Luau is one of the best ones on the island. The other recommendation is the Luau is at Gaylords near Poipu. The tour of the gardens was very nice and the Luau had the typical buffet style eating. The Hawaiian dancers were very good and you can tell... 更多
Enjoyed a tram tour of the grounds with insights into the unique plants and their origins when attending the evening Luau. Wished we had more time to go back and explore, but we did have fun running into a few peacocks and meeting the friendly goats. Definitely recommend getting to Luau early so you can fully explore the grounds.
Visited here as part of their Luau celebration. We were given a tour of the grounds vis a tram and the guide pointed out all kinds of trees, flowers, plants and birds. You can walk the grounds on your own as well. There is a small island with a bridge, and numerous native and exotic plants. Great spots for photos... 更多
We took the Smiths Grotto tour and Luau. The Grotto tour was good and we learn a lot of history about the area on the tour. The Luau was the best. The food was awesome and the after diner show was excellent. The show was about 1 1\2 hour in length and seemed to go by very fast as it... 更多
We had a great time at Smith Family Gardens! The grounds are amazing--flowers and tropical plants blooming everywhere, peacocks roaming the pathways, tiki torches lighting up the night. Kamika Smith welcomed all the guests to the luau, and we watched a demonstration of the imu that cooked the delicious Kalua pork--ono! The food and entertainment at dinner were great, and... 更多
Great luau with additional tropical gardens on the grounds to tour before the dinner and show. Food and show were very good. The facility itself could use a little elbow grease and updating in the barhrooms. Well orchestrated event. Family owned and run business is great.
