Hiked this trail after having hiked the Sleeping Giant 3 times on previous trips to Kauai. I expected this hike to be easier than the SG but in reality it was about the same. On the day we hiked, it was VERY muddy and as a result, very slippery. There was also a large tree that had toppled down recently... 更多
My husband and I tackled this trail yesterday. The trail was muddy, so bring old shoes or hiking boots. We found it to offer lots of scenic views mixed in with forest foliage, birds singing, and local plant life. There was a large tree blocking the path we had to climb over, but it was not difficult to do. Small... 更多
This was a beautiful hike, with gorgeous rainforest views throughout. The ascent is nice and gradual most of the way, so it was easy on our toddler. It was a peaceful hike, a nice workout but not too strenuous. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, with a packed lunch. There is a picnic table area towards the... 更多
This is a great hike that can be done in a couple of hours with plenty of time for pictures and enjoying the view. Gives you a great taste of Kauai. Fun and gentle hike with increasingly beautiful views as you ascend the ridgeline. Make sure to hike past the picnic tables as there is a beautiful little area you... 更多
This is an easy to moderate hike through lush vegetation. You'll see a myriad of green at every turn. It's a jungle setting minus the monkeys! The trail was pretty muddy in places when we went so don't wear flip-flops. You can make this hike as long or as short as you like. We hiked just a little ways past... 更多
I have hiked this a couple of times in the last week, one time in the rain. The trail had not completed drying out so bring mud stompers. Expect showers as your in the rain belt. If you continue you will cross a small bridge and hit the Moloepe trail. Nice for about 3/4 mile then hmmmm.
A most beautiful hike! We went two miles in before turning around. You can camp at 11 miles if you have a permit. Parking is challenging, but even if you have to park and then walk a little way, hey, you are in Kauaii!
This is an easy walk along a breathtaking ridge! Beautiful, sweeping views of mountains and valleys!! Our family of 8, ages 9-73 walked the trail and had a picnic lunch along the way. We had no problems, cooperative weather, and it took us about 2-1/2hrs to complete. Do it!!!
This looked like being a walk for us, from the description of stunning views and natural beauty in the Lonely Planet guide, and it was all of that and more! The walk climbs steadily up a wide track for nearly a mile and the scenery begins to show itself. Other-worldly vistas of bright green undulations stretch away to Mount Wai'aleale... 更多
Spent a lovely couple of hours on a moderate hike along the ridgeline with great views on either side and lovely places to stop and simply enjoy nature and the scenery.
