One of our favorite places in Kauai. Many trails and cement paths to walk. Beautiful Japanese gardens and the view is spectacular in certain areas.
We play here every time we come to Kauai. The price it outrageously inexpensive because of a trust set up by sugar magnate Walter McBride. He donated the course to Kauai with the provision that the low rates he set up could only be adjusted at the rate of inflation. Golf club rentals are also inexpensive but don't look for... 更多
A local from Lihue recommended visiting Kukuiolono Park for the scenery. We were not disappointed. Saw some nice scenery along the ocean plus the local birds-Roosters and chickens walking around the golf course. Would recommend visiting this park. They have a Japanese Garden that is decent to see.
You can eat in Paco's Tacos beside Pro shop for a good prices. 9-hole golf course has a lot of great views with ocean or mountains. You can rent clubs there, but they are very old. Staff is awkward, I think they have a low salary :-( But it is great to play golf for 10 USD, so go there... 更多
The golf course is ok. Rough greens. View is beautiful. But the employees really don't want you there. And they will tell you. You are on private property and you are golfing CHEAP so you don't get to complain about anything, especially the rude Marshall. He thought our twosome was holding up the golfers--turns out he didn't know the foursome... 更多
This is a county course, not a luxury course. I wouldn't describe it as manicured. But the grounds and the views (ocean, mountains) make it a fun place for a round. They don't take tee time reservations, so be prepared to wait. There's currently a Mexican restaurant there so refreshments (breakfast, lunch, cocktails) are available.
Excellent place. Golfing is for free there. Charge is just for the views and scenery. Watch for coconut palm trees incrusted with golf balls and testosterone :).
