The museum only had three dinosaurs, a stegosaur, triceratops, and the largest, most complete ichthyosaur I've ever seen. I had hope for more natural history items, but was thrilled with the three dinosaurs. Still worth the stop.
This museum is not your typical museum. Some objects are in a "room" but others are around the building. Having a tour guide made the experience more informative.
Not only are they replicas of dinosaur skeletons scattered around, but there are some highly polished slabs of rock with embedded fossils. The story behind the Pendulum is fascinating. Certainly one of the best collections of stuffed animals we have seen. The caretaker was just full of stories. Too bad the display was in such a small room. WE enjoyed... 更多
It was cool to see some of the Dino skeletons and the gift shop was nice, but it was odd to be walking through a busy community college with classes in session. The Dino bones are displayed throughout the school, but not a ton of details. It was neat, but honestly pretty underwhelming. If we are ever back this way-... 更多
This is a small well done museum on the Community College campus. Copies of Dinosaurs extracted form Como Ridge now sitting in the American Museum in Natural History are the Highlight, but I loved the Eocene Fossils from the surrounding are amazing. the 13.5 ft. Enchodus fossil from Kansas was among my favorites. Did I mention IT'S FREE
This may be a small community college, but it has such a great dino exhibit. And the museum and the bookstore are excellent. my grandkids loved it,
This is well done with a skeletons of T- Rex and other ancient critters. Go see this. Facility is clean. A surprise for this city to have such a well done exhibit.
I spent a few hours roaming this place, taking pictures, and reading the information at the displays. Very informative and the people that work there were friendly and helpful willing to take a moment to answer questions. Go visit this if you can.
A fun stop on the road, or as a local to show visitors. There is a lot of impressive fossils, information and artifacts available for viewing at anytime the college in open. Stop in and take a break from travels or relax with a coffee in the atrium while looking through exhibits!
