Before I entered the building, I heard two howlings from two different directions and the people at the place told me that they are from wolves. They got recently reintroduced into Wyoming. We were drawn to this museum by the beautiful architecture and sculptures outside. We enjoyed our visit. Go on a pretty day so you can walk the sculpture exhibit. I would not recommend the sculpture trail if walking impaired as the gravel can be slippery.
Great museum with a great view. Spend time talking with the hosts an they have great stories and history. The restaurant is a true hidden gem and we try to have lunch there when ever we are in the area.
A gem of a museum just outside the city limits of Jackson. Interesting stone building with wonderful art and exhibits. I particularly like the statuary in and around the museum. Short drive from downtown (or, you can walk on the nice footpath from town) Sits right across from the Elk refuge!
This is a great place to visit if you are a frequent museum visitor or a family with children. The museum is a serious museum of wildlife art and has a small interesting side room for children to play. The children's room has fury animal dress-up and other goodies for animal loving kids. And, the main museum will keep wildlife... 更多
This undoubtedly one of the best collections of wildlife art in the West -- second only to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, WY. The building itself is a model of western architecture and the exhibits are very well laid out and explained.
Beautifully realized museum. The outdoor sculptures alone are worth a visit. With the glorious Grand Tetons as their backdrop, it is a moving and humbling entry into a wonder-filled art experience
