It is well worth the cost of admission. The whole Buffalo Bill Center of the West is five museums in one and takes 3-4 hours to go through. A must see in Cody Wy.
Our family including a 7yr old had a wonderful day at the museum. There was awesome bluegrass music playing in the foyer, an incredible exhibit with a buffalo hide teepee and artifacts and good guide. The natural history area was just top notch. As good as any big city museum in Chicago or Washington dc--even more accessible. Havin just come... 更多
As a Native American myself, this museum gave me a connection to my ancestors. They discuss every aspect of life to the Plains Indians. Home life, war strategy, how they lived, moved, died.... Make sure you catch the varied short shows that are offered. The diorama on the bottom floor is amazing!
This place is astonishingly good. From a full hide tepee to displays showing what the Peoples call themselves in their own languages instead of only what the white people or their neighbors called them, this one section of the Buffalo Bills Center of the west is worth an entire day if you dig First American history. Over the years, some... 更多
Very neat artifacts and items of clothing and art. Not as fun for the younger kids as the nature museum but they still enjoyed seeing the displays
Amazing Indian artifacts. This museum is part of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Gorgeous life-size tepees, apparel, jewelry, etc. BBCW is associated with the Smithsonian, so that gives you an idea of the quality of the museum.
as mentioned this is a wing that is part of a larger museum. It is one of the lesser wings. It was interesting and had great subject matter, but just did not seem to have as much as the other museums in the same place. Interesting and worth walking through.
This is part of the Buffalo Bill Centre of the West, but has its own presentation area. The exhibits are excellent and authentic. Well worth a visit.
The Museum of the Plains Indian is located under the same roof as several other museums at the Buffalo Bill Center Of The West complex in Cody, WY. My first view of this museum was in the 1960s. It was good then and each time I have gone over the years it just gets better and better. My recent visit... 更多
