I found this Arts Center by just walking around. It has charm and style....Yes it is an Arts Center, but it just has a certain air about it. It's different because of its Art. I really wish I could this input better words. I just Loved it, and it is really worth going out of your way to find and... 更多
This contemporary arts center is also partially housed in the home of John Micahel Kohler which was built in the 1880's. It included a nice museum store, a cafe, some hands on opportunities as well as a number of exhibition which I believe were all changing. I guess that's a good reason to come back often. You are encouraged to... 更多
Okay, the bathrooms are amazing but the art on display in the galleries is even better and very unique to the Kohler. Most museums today are like Art's Greatest Hits with the Warhols, the Richters, the Hoffmans, the Picassos and so on. Nice but getting pretty boring. At the Kohler, they focus on lesser-known, sometimes previously completely unknown arts who... 更多
Yes, the bathrooms are great, but all the art was amazing. I would go back in a minute, had an amazing morning going through all the galleries! Even outside had hidden works of arts.
I read the TA reviews so I expected to visit the restrooms. My wife and I were visiting an hour before closing time on a Sunday evening so there weren't many visitors around. The museum curator told us to see BOTH restrooms. She made sure nobody was "in there" so my wife and I could both go in and visit... 更多
I went in specifically to see the bathrooms and was not disappointed. The bathrooms are the only place in the museum where you are allowed to take photos
AKA~ JMKAC to the local. View the online calendar of events, JMKAC always has workshops going on, evening show's, live music, great place to take your kids to experience different culture and arts. Plus the world's best bathroom! That alone is a must see, You will enjoy I guarantee.
Very doable in a couple hours. Perfect when the weather is not. Fantastic exhibits and lots of photo opportunities. Make sure you see the men's and women's restrooms. Art is everywhere. The gift shop is filled with beautiful wearable art !! Do not expect a stuffy museum, this place is leading edge interesting !
Not only a wonderful art center, but the gift shop is not to be missed! But the bathrooms are unusual enough to be on tours of Sheboygan and not to be missed!
This is a beautiful facility. We are not big art fans, so the art work wasn't impressive, however the restroom were beyond gorgeous, a must see.
