Reading the pamphlet and talking to them you have the impression that you are signing up for a 55 minutes train ride. The tickets I felt were reasonable before we took the ride, there were three levels you could buy, from coach to caboose; coach being the cheapest. The museum was okay we understand why they won't let us on... 更多
We loved visiting this place! The museum is free, and we were so impressed with the quality of the restorations. If you want the total experience then it's totally worth it to pay for the train ride. Yes, it's short, but sitting in a 100 year-old train car allows you to be a part of history.
We weren't impressed with the train ride. They take you out 20 minutes to no where, then there is a 15 minute stop to switch the engine, then take you back the same way for 20 minutes. The train coach car was refinished nice, but if you want a nice ride, don't waste your money on this. There are old... 更多
We got there too early for the train rides and see inside everything but the outdoor displays are great. The best part is that it's all free unless you take a ride.
This museum provides an experience. They do offer train rides on weekends and weekdays during the summer, but they seem to have a niche with their dining events. Check their website or call them for the info since it is a hidden gem. For Mother's day we had brunch on the train and it was really nice. The wait staff... 更多
If you like old trains and railroad history, put this on your bucket list. The train cars in the small museum are very well preserved. We went on the train ride and while uneventful, a step back into the past for sure. They also have dinner trains. We were unable to take part because it was sold out. Book early... 更多
We were on the Fermentation Fest Tour with friends and were pleasantly surprise wthen this attraction was part of the various Farm/Art DTour Stops. It was free to tour the museum. They have done a great job restoring various engines and rail cards. They also have nice signage that shows you the before and after pics - so you can... 更多
What a wonderful place. We visited here about 13 years ago. But was unable to take the entire train ride because the tracks got washed away from spring flooding. We finally made it back. The train ride was beautiful and the conductors were so knowledgeable and clearly loved trains and their history. We were able to tour the inside of... 更多
I arrived in time for a train ride, so I paid my fare and had a pleasant ride through the countryside in my private caboose with my personal guide/brakeman (only because nobody else paid for the caboose ride on that trip). Back at the museum, I spent several hours browsing through their collection. The restored cars in the car building... 更多
Wife had never ridden a train before, so we took the opportunity to ride here. Old style train, not very scenic, the guy giving instructions was very bland, spoke monotoned the whole time. Guy driving the train was better, answered a few questions about the engine. Trip was a 3-mile one direction, disconnected the engine, ran it behind, and towed... 更多
