What a neat experience. I've always loved learning about science and whatnot, this place brought out my inner nerd. Lots of fun info to learn, especially about the history of wisconsin and how it was shaped geologically over time. The gift shop has a lot of fun little trinkets that are reasonably priced also, went home with a couple of... 更多
I've used that title before, because it fits several smaller gems we have in the area. This museum, though small, has an outstanding collection of gems and the geologic timeline of Wisconsin exhibit is well presented and laid out. Sure, it is heavy science at times and may be tough for pre-teens to absorb and appreciate, but so what! Take... 更多
While waiting for the Barlow Planetarium show [around the corner from the Museum in the same building], we took our 7, 9 & 10-year old granddaughters to this Museum. It's small, so the ticket price is right - $1 for children $3 for adults. There were a few hands-on activities for the girls - jumping up & down to make... 更多
When not able to get out rock collecting, go here. No charge for the rock shop and they have many pieces to choose from. Also, a great selection for young collectors. The gal behind the counter is very well informed, too.
The Weis Earth & Science museum is a great spot to check out - especially for kiddos! It's interesting and engaging. Great activity to checkout year round!
This small museum is a real must see for people not needing hands on activities. Many interesting and educational geological exhibits in a small space. Their collection of semi precious gems was large and well displayed. I would visit again.
This is not normally a place I would be interested in seeing but IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The young lady working in the gift shop was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly working with my daughter and I. There is a small fee to enter the museum but you can shop in the store for free. The shop offers gift items,... 更多
The Weis is a very small museum and has a very small fee. There is an informative section for kids with touchable rocks and bones, a huge selection of various rocks behind glass and minerals. During our visit we were lucky enough to see the world's best preserved dinosaur eggs, which was something even the Milwaukee didn't have. Stan the... 更多
