I spent a couple of lovely, peaceful hours strolling through these gardens, which are mostly maintained by volunteers. The small Japanese garden is a real treat. This location also has a gazebo at one end of the pond, many benches, sunny and shady areas, different styles of gardens and a sunken garden. Everything was blooming gloriously.
We visited the Rotary Gardens on Saturday morning and they were absolutely stunning. It was a great place to get away and spend some time in the peace and tranquility of nature. We even took our teenage son and to our astonishment he enjoyed it and he was well behaved. It was a great day out in a beautiful place.... 更多
This is a peaceful retreat not to be missed in Janesville. Always well maintained and beautiful, not just with plantings but also the architectural features. It is refreshing to see the commitment which the community has in the Gardens- the memorials and dedicated spaces are wonderful.
I was at the gardens for a horticulture workshop, but had time to tour, too...as always, this set of gardens is lush, interesting, aesthetic and peaceful! When I went they had amazing flowers. Very beautiful and lots of photo opportunities. A beautiful Japanese Garden with a bridge and a variety of trees and flowers. Benches to sit on. You will spend 3-4 hours if you love taking pictures otherwise it's a 1-2 hour walk through. Janesville's hidden gem for sure. Hope you enjoy my pictures. https://m.flickr.com/#/home
It was a lovely place to wander and gave us some new ideas for the garden. Many different types of plantings and decor. The hummingbird art pieces were fun and mapping and rating them was a fun kiddo activity in a spot they may have gotten bored with quickly. We had packed our lunches and ate on the garden patio.
This is a nice place to go if you enjoy: gardening, flowers, nature and relaxing. I had a Brick Memorial in Memory of my dear dad here, years ago. There are many weddings/receptions and monthly events that take place here as well. You can spend hours here walking around, viewing all the beautiful flowers, shrubs, trees, statues, brick paths, fish... 更多
