Whether I'm with my granddaughter or walking, this is a beautiful park. The playground is large enough to accommodate many kids without crowding. In addition, the Braun's Bay fishing area is great, but PLEASE don't feed the Canadian geese; They can be overwhelming with a small person.
Fishing, picnicking, biking, taking in a baseball or football game, lots of events, playgrounds etc. All right in town. Toss in the little train rides and you've got an place to take the whole family without spending much money at all.
This is a beautiful little park located right on the river in Eau Claire. This park is well kept and well lit at night. Many people use it for running or walking. Seemed very safe.
Fun place for the entire family! baseball, play area for little tikes, a history museum, train ride around the park, hiking, biking, picnicng and ya gotta visit the Paiul Bunyon camp
Carson is the place for fishing, football, baseball, softball, and the ice rink is across the street. Of course, there are playgrounds and picnic areas but also visit the Chippewa Valley Museum and the Paul Bunyon displays. Lots to see and do even if no special events are in progress like narrow track train rides or craft fairs.
This is a large park with various parts to it. Great for sports, walking, fishing, kayaking, cycling, picnics, and more! Dog friendly and plenty of parking. Well maintained, it's close enough to town yet quiet. There are two museums in the park, too. A really nice spot.
If you have kids, or go at a more active part of the year, this would be a good spot to see, as they apparently have baseball games and a horse show tournament. Also, if you can trailer bikes and/or canoes/kayaks, there are trails, a river and a bayou to explore.
