My grand daughter and I decided to take a little day trip to Baraboo to the Circus World Museum. Afterwards, I decided to do some exploring. Traveling on many winding country roads I saw a sign for "Devils Lake" Followed the signs and entered thru to gates to paradise! They have everything you need to enjoy a day at Devils... 更多
I visited Devil's Lake State Park the first mild weekend of the season this year, in late March. Parked on the North Shore and hiked a loop around the lake including the East Bluff Trail, Balanced Rock Trail, Boardwalk, and Tumbled Rocks Trail back to my car. Challenging for an out of shape hiker like me, but I quite enjoyed... 更多
Stopped in for a hike while in the area with our 3 year old and 6 year old. The park itself is a very popular destination, super busy on the Saturday afternoon with many touristy folks. It was our first trip to a state park for the year, and ended up waiting about 20 minutes to purchase our sticker. We... 更多
My boyfriend and I go here frequently when its nice out . Can't wait to camp and canoe the lake sometime. The hiking is amazing !
Me and my friends decided to go to devil's lake and had so much fun! We were able to go climb the rocks and get a perfect view of the lake. Too bad the day was too nasty and the wind was very cold that time. But to top it all, i enjoyed it and im gonna be back this... 更多
Every year our family goes to Devil's Lake State Park. What a beautiful place . Great hiking, swimming, and canoeing. We camp outside of the park at Wheeler's. On holiday weekend's it very busy but it's still a great experience.
My boyfriend and I were headed up to mauston and decided to stop in. I've been here before and it's always a nice place to go, but it was a first for my other half. We walked around the beach area and it was just nice to get away. It wasn't so busy when we went so it was nice.
Devil's Lake State Park is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. You can hike, swim, rock climb, boulder, and camp. For hikers, I highly recommend the trails. Very well kept and marked. Definitely recommend wearing hiking boots in general, but especially if you are planning on hiking up the rock steps. I would also recommend the Potholes trail. Gorgeous views... 更多
Our first time at Devils Lake State Park was very nice. We walked up the rock hill which gave us beautiful views of the lake and bluffs around us. People walking past us all seemed friendly. The forest views were also beautiful as we drove around the park.
This park is seriously awesome! However, if you are a WI native and you don't enjoy the rowdy-ness of the summer city folk, visiting off season is much better.
The views are incredible. We hiked up the balanced rock hike. It is a difficult hike, but you can go as slow as you'd like. Think about climbing 50 flights of stairs. Its kind of like that, but with a view to kill.
Excellent outdoor location... hiking, scenery, photo ops, the lake itself... Went here on a (rare) 70 degree day in September... definitely glad that I did. Went down to the lake and also hiked up one of the bluffs. Amazing.
