Being from out of state, it's not cheap to stay here when you have to pay for the site, parking and all else. But... it was worth it for sure. We stayed on the Wisconsin Ridge in one of the walk-up sites. It had an absolutely supreme view of the Wisconsin River. Mist sitting in the valley and sunrise to... 更多
There were some very beautiful overlooks on the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers that were an easy walk. There were also some steep stairs to other views. We took a strenuous hike along the bluffs, down through the forest, then along the Wisconsin River and back up to the bluffs. Fit Bit said we climbed 70 flights of stairs. We were... 更多
This is what a State Park is meant to be. Great views, outstanding hiking trails and just beautiful facilities. The Wisconsin River meets the Mississippi here and the views are just fantastic. The ridge trails are fantastic and the caves are worth hiking to. All in all, one of the nicest parks in the state.
First time visiting and I lament not having gone sooner. Beautiful vistas, great photo opportunities, and lovely camp sites we plan to use in the future. It was a cool overcast day, making it great for catching pictures of the eagles flying around the bluffs. It would be a lovely place for a small family reunion or birthday party, even... 更多
We camped here for 2 nights with friends, with 5 kids ranging from 18 months to 14 years. I would highly recommend the ridge campsites. #125, 127, 131, and 133 are amazing with a great view ( although you may not want to be so close to the cliff edge if you have toddlers). #144 and 146 are also wonderful... 更多
I rolled into Wyalusing State Park on a Monday evening in August. I was surprised to find someone still in the office. The woman helped me select a secluded campsite in Homestead Campground, which she said was the quieter campground. Great! I’d checked the online campgrounds map, so I knew Homestead had showers: Showers + Quiet = Happy Camper. The... 更多
We are walkers - this is a great Park for walkers/hikers. There is also camping, but I don't know anything about the facilities for that. We did see a large area for sports - basketball, tennis, baseball/softball, volleyball. We stopped at the Park Office and got a trail map from a helpful. friendly Park person. There were detailed descriptions of... 更多
Did not come to camp or picnic. We came for the view. As senior residents of the state it only cost $3.00 for the day, even though we were there but briefly. We intended to go on to Nelson Dewey State Park but... The heat, the humidity and the mosquitoes were so bad we were there less than an hour... 更多
Beautiful park! The campground was quiet and relatively clean. The bathrooms got a little gross by Sunday morning after a busy weekend but I think that happens in busy places. While there, we walked the Immigrant Trail, took the canoe trail twice, kayaked down the Wisconsin River and enjoyed the beauty of Grant and Crawford counties.
