This is a smallish state park just off I77 between Princeton and Beckley WV. While there isn't a lot to do it's a good place for a picnic, a family reunion or a party (nothing wild).
My wife and I went to Camp Creek State Park to meet our kids for a weekend of camping. We live above Pittsburgh, Pa., and my daughter and husband live in Columbia SC. This park was exactly the halfway meeting point between the two cities. The campground is right on the edge of the Camp Creek State Forest. The campground... 更多
There are 2 falls: Mash Creek Parking area is right besides the falls. Campbell falls is 0.3 miles from the parking area. It's a short walk on a level gravel road.
It was adventure to actually get to the park! GPS had us going all kinds of crazy places. Once we finally found it, it was beautiful and definitely worth the stop. I'm gonna say it might be around 1/2 mile hike from the parking area to the falls but it wasn't too steep so most anyone could do it. You... 更多
Thank you for your review. Glad you found Camp Creek State Park and the waterfalls worth the effort. 更多
Our experience is the park is so beautiful, well kept. Staff is helpful and the facilities are kept clean. The waterfalls are beautiful as well as the hiking trails. Mashfork campground has a very nice bath house and a community fire ring where you can get to know other campers. The rustic camping has incredible views from your tent! The... 更多
The park is not very big but you can find a nice area with a basket field, pic-nic area and very convenietn accessibility. There are 2 falls that are not very big but really nice. You can go with horses
My wife and I picked a bad time to go because everyone was getting ready to go back to school, so the park was swamped with people. This made it very hard to enjoy any swimming in the bigger waterfall of the area. However, if you go back behind the area where everyone is swimming in the large water hole,... 更多
We stayed one night with a small RV while driving to Cleveland. The park is just off 77. Staff was helpful and polite. Campground is small but quiet. Showers are typical yet clean. We didn't get to explore park but looked like playground was nice and new
Hiked from the parking area to the Marsh Fork Falls via the gravel road. Beautiful site and easy hike. For a more difficult challenge we too the Marsh Fork Trail from the Falls to join the Farley Ridge Trail and made it back to the Parking area. The later route is not suggested for beginners, but was a challenging and... 更多
