Went for a short but beautiful hike, and ended up at the beach! This state park had a bit of a resort / private park feel, but we were still able to find the quiet of the wilderness. Seems like a great place for families.
-visited here on a weekend to go swimming for a few hours on our road trip. -Water was a nice temp -water was clean -an added bonus, the day we were there it was FREE! (Normally $5/ Adult or $3/child to swim) -Would return if we come back to this area!
My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend at wonderful Cacapon Resort State Park. We sat on the veranda reading while enjoying a gentle breeze and the beautiful picturesque landscape. We drove through the park to different areas. We also took a short drive in to Berkeley Springs. I am a hiker so took to a trail as daylight broke... 更多
Let me start by saying you can not beat the golf packages at Cacapon State Park. This was the 3rd year that we did an April golf trip to Cacapon. There are 4 of us from upstate New York that do the 3 night with 4 days of golf. First, the price can not be beat. Next, the staff at... 更多
We stayed at the lodge, and the friendly efficient staff is a highlight. The rooms are clean with a nice view. I especially love the long veranda overlooking the golf course. Sitting in one of the rocking chairs and watching the sun go down is a quiet pleasure. We also found that the restaurant is very good, with much of... 更多
This park has a lot to see and do all for no charge. Plenty of picnic, pavillion and grill areas. The nature center is small but fun for the kids. Public beack on the lake and also paddle boats are available for the lake at an additional charge. Basketball courts, playground, trails, bathrooms and plenty of parking too.
The lodge has so much to do. We did not take advantage, but the lower level has a few video games, air hockey and pool table. You can rent paddle boats, golf or hike numerous trails. Nice patio off the back overlooking the golf course and the park. Our room was small but clean and everything was in working order.... 更多
This is a beautiful state park in the midst of West Virginia’s natural beauty. There is lush forest, a lake and beach, nature and recreation programs, picnic areas, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, a sports clay shooting range, game courts, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed 18-hole golf course, and a breathtaking scenic overlook viewing up to four states (it’s a... 更多
We visited Berkeley Springs this week and decided to play a round of golf at Cacapon State Park. I'm sure glad we decided to take our golf clubs on this trip. The course was in great shape! The greens were a tad slow but they rolled true. The course is pretty wide open so get that Big Dog out and... 更多
