This is a great little park where you can learn some of the Olympia Brewery history, see their plant (closed and for sale), view the upper and lower falls, walk over the fish ladder and observe the pens. We were here too late to see the salmon but I bet that would have been a hoot.
My kids and I visit this park every year to watch the salmon run. It is close and free to visit. There are many beautiful photo opportunities to get some great shots. I have also taken many Seniors here to do their Senior Photos. I love this place.
I didn't think this park would be much to see since there's development and bridges all around it. Wow, was I wrong. There's an awesome and easy trail to loop around and cross the river twice, and some points of interest and a totem pole markers along the way. If you just want a huge area for the kids to... 更多
Our son told us we could see the falls from the street. We couldn't and then we ate at Falls Terrace and had a great view of the falls and the park.
The riverside walk is soothing, peaceful, and we enjoyed watching for the salmon coming upstream. It was warm even under the shade of the natural vegetation of the area. Postings along the walk give a historical perspective that is very interesting.
Can't say enough good things about this unexpected treasure in Tumwater, Washington. I lucked out and happened to come on an early evening after a large rainstorm so the Falls were gushing with loud, fast moving water. And to top it off there is a salmon hatchery attached to these falls on the Deshutes River. I happened to visit on... 更多
Pleasant, well-maintained path with great viewing spots and wildflowers along the way. The park allows for family gatherings, offers clean bathroom facilities, holds local events on occasion. The falls are really spectacular after a rain.
A great place to walk around, get some exercise and see the falls. Trails are mostly dirt but in good shape so fine for all levels of walkers.
