The campground itself is great. It has gorgeous waterfront views, clean bathrooms, and walking trails to explore the bay. The only downside for me was that it is right off the main road and i really dislike falling asleep and waking up to all the car traffic.
This state park on Discovery Bay is easily found on the route between Port Townsend and Sequim, WA. Entrance off the main highway, which is filled with RVs is easy to find. The walks through the forest are lovely. Nothing like the conifer forests of Washington and glimpses of the beautiful bay.
Bring your RV to spend the night, or just come for the day, either way is great! And for even 'more' fun, get your clamming licence, a bucket, small rake, and hike down to the beach! Make sure to wear your license around your neck, because the Park Ranger has binocs and checks everyone out! And know your limits! Then...
Nice park centerly located within driving distance of several attractions! Beautiful flowers in full bloom as you enter the park, Day pass required. Camping areas nicely kept, little tight for bigger rigs to get around though. Walking trails, activities, beach area, picnic options, boat dock.
