Local Vegetables, fruit, meats and seafood. My sons never knew potatoes had an earthy smell - best they ever ate they said later. Stewarts Meats = WOW! No hormones or antibiotics. I haven't been to that many farmer's markets, so my title may be misleading, but I just love our Farmer's Market here in Olympia. Great variety of veggies. Good local source of meat and fish. I get my plants there and lots of my holiday gifts.
This is a must visit location during the peak seasons of late spring, summer and early fall. Mostly out doors but covered for rainy weather. Plenty of unusual foods and craft items at good prices.
We visited two days ago. We are frequent summer visitors to take advantage of the many booths with organic produce. My wife got an awesome pastry at one of the bakery booths on Saturday. Parking is easy. The location is close to the shoreline, an easy walk. Lots of choices for cooked food as well.
The farmer's market is a fun place, with many diverse food stalls. In addition, all the fruits and vegetables are well displayed. There are stalls for fish, meats, bakery items, crafts, plants, eggs, and farm fresh flowers. On weekends local bands play. It is a great place to enjoy lunch while watching people, listening to music, or shopping.
Olympia's Farmer's Market is a regular visit for us. In the spring, the starts for the vegetable garden always give us good results. In summer, the produce is top quality and the variety make this a one stop for produce. I especially enjoy the fruit season with cherries, peaches, pears, nectarines, and apples. One stop also has a variety of... 更多
Love to watch people; this is THE place in Oly. Great food vendors with all types of choices. Everything is hand made here, or you can't sell it....so, lots of great local crafts. Hard to beat a trip to the market, and then the 1 block walk over to the waterfront to see the activity there.
Crafts, fresh vegetables and fruits, flowers, soaps, honey, lavender, fresh meat markets. Listen to live music and have lunch. A great place to visit and support local vendors.
This is a real farmer's market, not a city market like Pike Place in Seattle, so you will not see supermarket produce from late October to late April. Over the winter one finds mostly craft vendors, plus bakeries, and butchers stands, local cheese, eggs and honey, with some produce like potatoes, apples and carrots, onions and garlic. The type of... 更多
