We rented one of the cabin in mid July. The cabins are in a great location with a nice water view. The lake level was low, however and swimming at the park is not so good. Very muddy. However, the staff told us about the O'sullivan swim location, which is also part of the park but about 12 minutes away.... 更多
Wall to wall. RV/Camping area looks more like a manicured resort. Lots of activities. Booked well in advance. Mixed emotions. Went for a paddle on our kayaks and got rained out. But, the area was not really inducive to small boats. More on the large motor boat crowd. Looking to paddle through the islands, but no launch point even close.... 更多
We accidentally came across this park and were amazed at how beautiful it was. From playground to spacious grassy area to pathways and the lake (and a boat launch too!), this park has everything! We came here with two little ones (under 2 years) and the playground was of course a little too big for their age, but it's really... 更多
This is now one of our favorite spots in Central Washington. Potholes State Park is a beautifully kept location. The RV sites located in the "round" are very nice. Lots of space between sites, full hook ups, large metal picnic table and fire pit. Tall trees provide a nice windbreak for the sites as it does get rather windy most... 更多
There are lots of big holes in Potholes State Park. They are connected together underground and sometimes they are high and somtimes they are low, but always wet, lots of mosquitoes
Great place to camp if you're boating, fishing, or bird watching. We camped there in mid March and had a whole loop to ourselves. Site 30 is farther from the water but on the end of a loop and generously sized. Sites 45-50 looked good, too. If you have a tent or small trailer and don't need utilities, 83, 84,... 更多
We were in the area looking for wildlife and natural landscapes. This park did not seem to have "potholes" or much of nature other than having campsites on the lake. Someone into water sports or with children would probably have a more positive response.
We really enjoy going to the Potholes State Park. In the summer the heat and water are a great combination. In the spring and fall we go for the bird migrations and photography. There is always something to fish for in the reservoir no matter when you go. Large open campsites are great for RV's and tents alike.
Shot ducks for three days, using the guide services of Mardons Resort. The potholes are set up perfectly for fishing and bird hunting. The owners of Mardon's can find every little island and provide professional guide services. Almost made limits for the three days. Coming back in January to try it again.
