Not much to say about this place. If you want to see Nutcrackers . . . well, there you go. The place to see them in the State of Washington is here. Take the tour, it's a good waste of about half an hour.
Excellent surprise. In Leavenworth and heard about museum. Probably over a thousand wooden nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes. Nutcrackers in shapes of Presidents, Disney, Einstein, Masonic, Wizard of Oz, Ball Players. Etc. Also actual nut-crackers of all styles dating back to Prehistoric and Roman times. Well worth a stop in this Bavarian town.
This museum is amazing. Tucked very tightly into the upstairs floor of an old building in Leavenworth, it's loaded with thousands of nutcrackers. The collection has got to be the largest in the world and the photo opportunities never cease. They range from human-sized wonders to the small, craftily-carved wonders from Germany. They have everything imaginable there ... The Beatles,... 更多
The ''museum'' is more like a store, with innumerable nutcrackers for sale. As a tourist stop, it is interesting, but not for extended viewing.
This is an interesting visit and worth the time to see a fascinating and large collection of nutcrackers (and don't just think of the wooden figures.)
When we were in Leavenworth, we went to the Nutcracker Museum. It is in the downtown shopping area. There is a small admission charge ($5 when we went). It is on the second floor. There is a lot of fun nutcrackers to see.
I am not really into nutcrackers' but my wife is and she loved it. I did enjoy browsing as there were so many different styles and types. Many themes and when asked about a certain type the staff was quick to point them out to us. It is worth visiting.
Went with three kids, was a little nervous the staff would freak out when they saw three small kids enter but she was great with them. She pointed out all of the places for them to look for things they would likely be interested in and they had a great time for minimal cost.
