I was determined to do something outdoorsy on my recent trip to Seattle. I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather and not pass out due to heat stroke on a hike. After doing some research, I decided on Wallace Falls because it wasn't that far of a drive from our hotel in Sea-Tac. The drive on a Sunday... 更多
GO EARLY. By 10am, the very large parking lot had just 2 spaces left on a rainy Saturday. I can’t imagine how full the parking lot would be if it the weather was better. When I left the park at 2:30pm, people were overflow parked illegally on the roads outside the park. You’ll need to buy a State Parks DISCOVER... 更多
We hiked up to the lower falls and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There were quite a few people on the trail, but everyone was polite. The trails are clean and it's easy to stay on course. The falls are gorgeous.
Stayed in the cabins for several days while climbing at Index and hiking the surrounding areas. The cabins were spacious, clean, close to the bathrooms(which were well kept) and had the wonderful surprise of having hot showers, which I definitely needed after climbing all day. Did a early morning hike to Wallace Falls and had the place completely to myself....was... 更多
A great day hike. Take a lunch and enjoy a moderately challenging day trip. Parking can be an issue on weekends but otherwise this is a fun hike with lots of picture taking moments.
Our first visit to Seattle included a day hiking trip to Wallace Falls with our 2 kids ages 11 and 14. It was a rainy day and we were cold at first but soon warmed up as we started our climb. You need to purchase a $10 day pass either inside or at the automated machine. This covers your parking... 更多
This hike was beautiful and not difficult. The flora along the trail is picturesque. The trail is well maintained. The falls are majestic, particularly middle falls. If you are the type who hikes in order to reach a final point of visual benefit, middle falls is a great hike for you.
Just getting stated with hiking?? This is a great place to go. The trails are well marked and maintained, not too isolated and enough of a challenge to get your heart pounding. The scenery is so pretty, even on a raining, wet day. Dress warm, and bring plenty of water! Be sure to use the nicely maintained facilities before you... 更多
I went here with three younger guys new to hiking. We arrived by 9:30 to find the parking lot full. We ended up parking down the hill a quarter mile away. The trail itself was also quite busy with lots of dogs. Fortunately, everyone was well behaved and mellow. There was very little trash along the way either. The falls... 更多
