There are many trails to explore. We took the outside trail which starts out from the parking lot with a gentle slope. There are intersecting trails that are called by a letter. We ended up taking the "u" trail which got steep with several switchbacks. This part of the trail was a beautiful old growth forest. There were no maps... 更多
I love having this forest less than 3 miles from my house. If you didn't know better, you would think you had driven an hour away into the hills. The only give away is the sound of freeway traffic on the east side. We like to hike the perimeter trail which is a couple of miles with some good hills.... 更多
We love coming here as a family, with our dog. It easily accessible, yet feels like we've really gotten away from it all. It's just the right distance of a hike, with a few trail options to keep our preteen daughter engaged but not bored. We love it.
Found this on a website and thought we would try it on a Sunday afternoon. Well maintained nice easy trails. Numerous trails that spur off the main loop trail. Easy access from the freeway. Great hike for family and Raye it as easy.
This place is quite beautiful, and the trails are well maintained. Hard to believe that it runs right next to the highway. A quiet hike and even good if it rains since the woods are fairly thick and covered. I recommend as an alternative to just walking along the road!
I walked with my dog Lucy through the so called "Rotary Dog Park" last Fall, and frankly were disappointed. This is not what most people would consider a park. This is just narrow trails through the forest. No open areas of grass, just dirt. And a few aggressive dogs.
Wonderful little jewel park in North Gig Harbor. It is wonderful for walking and running. It is a bit muddy in the winter/spring timeframe. Bring your dog on a leash.
Great place for a trail run or a nice walk. Beautiful and well kept! My boys love to run this while preparing for cross country races, would recommend for families and individuals alike.
This was one of the highlights of our time in Gig Harbor! The dog park has a well thought out network of woodland trails and a open field play area. Your pup won't want to miss it!
We have used this park as kind of a training ground to teach young scouts how to hike. There are nice trails and it is close in to many residential areas in and around Gig Harbor. It is convenient and a nice place to get used to walking in the woods in Washington.
