Got to the beach right as low tide started. What a fun day! We were having so much fun exploring, that we didn't even realize we had already been there for close to 4 hours! The tide pools were full of sea anemones, dungeness crab, clams and snails. The eagles and herons put on quite a show as well! There... 更多
We went for a walk along the beach. Very pleasant and easily accessible. There were lots of dogs off leash having a great time. Parking seemed kind of limited but it was a Saturday.
We arrived at low tide and found many boats "anchored" to the beach. After walking the beach for an hour we turned back. The change was amazing. By the time we got back to the parking lot many of the boats were now floating in the water. Great walk, DOG FRIENDLY. Great views lots to explore only bad thing is... 更多
I go here a lot. I didn't give it five circles due to parking capacity, because it can be very popular. It makes a great beach for swimming, beach-combing and walking. The view of Mt. Rainier is breath-taking near sunset. You can also see Seattle from here. There is an off-leash dog park and rest rooms. You can walk quite... 更多
This place is way to popular for such a small parking lot. So beautiful and a great find for a very low tide. Lots and Lots of driftwood and driftwood buildings that visitors would build. We saw lots of people and even more dogs. This entire island is very dog friendly.
Sis and I were visiting the island from Seattle. We decided to take the dogs to a place where they could run free of the leash and found Double Bluffs. This was so much fun! The dogs had plenty of space to run, check out the water, play with other dogs while we could walk along the beach free of... 更多
This beach is practically next door to my house, so we visit often with our dog or just to enjoy it's wildness when it storms. We have lived here for 10+ years, and have treasured the beach as a very special place.
On a clear day, Mount Rainier is visible to the south. There is a long beach, wide when tide is out. This is one of the few places on south Whidbey where the public has access to a beach.
I have been visiting Double Bluff for 12 years. A photographers dream. Eagles on the treed bluff are beautiful to watch. Double Bluff is an off leash dog park. A true gem for dog people and a great place for our furry friends to run and play. summer is busy, however I have met people from all over the world.... 更多
