The ship is much more "open" than usual tours allow. we spent about 90 minutes on an unguided tour and went to engine rooms to top decks. The decks are also open from end to end. An enjoyable tour, but best in warm sunny weather.
We toured the USS Turner Joy and really enjoyed the fact that you could go almost everywhere. It makes you realize the challenges of operating on board one of these ships and the obstacles they faced.
The most interesting part was at the end of our visit - our kids had finished and left for food and we were lingering....
