We have family that lives right on the beach st Croatan beach The beach is well maintained and very pretty It's good for little kids cause the waves aren't to big
I enjoy this beach because it isn't as crowded as First Street or the oceanfront. It has great restroom facilities and outdoor showers to rinse off the salt and sand. Plenty of ample parking is available.
It was so nice and quiet. This beach is not heavy with people and has a lot of houses for sale and rent in the area. We had to drive down the street to find the beach area but if you drive to the end you will eventually find it. You have to pay $5 for parking and you can't... 更多
If you are looking to surf in VA Beach you should probably make other plans. The beaches here are designed for tourist so they replenish the sand and completely destroy the bottoms, eliminating any chance of a decent break. Also when there is surf Croatan and 1st st are always packed. And most surfers that are there think they are... 更多
We went to Croatan Beach after reading about it on Trip Advisor. It is a very clean beach nestled inside a quiet neighborhood. Public parking is only $5 for the whole day, for non-residents of Virginia Beach. Restrooms are right at the parking lot with changing rooms and outside showers. The restrooms were clean, but the changing rooms could use... 更多
VERY CLEAN BEACH WITH CLEAN WATER. From the beginning of the sand to the water is and estimated 1,000-2,000ft. Very short walk form our home on Croatan Hills Drive. The beach has a slight hill elevation and isn't flat. This doesn't impact the "normal beach experience" at all. WILL VISIT AGAIN
We rented a house for the week about two blocks from the beach. Every day we walked down and could easily find our own area of the beach to take over for a while. No jellyfish, decent surf for bodyboarding, convenient AND uncrowded. Compared to the crowds at the Boardwalk, we were happy we made this choice.
We had no problem finding a parking place on a Saturday in August. The $5 parking fee is cheaper than any place near the boardwalk. There are permanent bathrooms and outdoor showers. The first 200 feet of beach is reserved for surfers and the lifeguards remind them to stay on their side away from the swimmers. Because it is away... 更多
Outdoor showers to hose the sand off, flushing toilets, and a reasonably quick walk to the beach with $5 parking. Well worth the money. We arrived at noonish and the beach and water was fairly crowded/busy but people started clearing out by 2pm. We felt like we were alone in the world by 4pm even though it was still 86... 更多
