I remember Mount Trashmore from the days of being stationed in Norfolk. Loved it then and still do. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the place and couldn't believe what it really is.
This is probably the best idea anyone has had for a dump, ever. I had an awesome time here. Spacious, quiet, beautiful, clean. Couldn't ask for much more!
My family and I really enjoyed the Turkey Troy 10k that was run around Mount Trashmore Park. Nice skate area and scenic pond, I also enjoyed running up and down the hills with my youngest in the piggy back position. It would be a great place to stroll, catch a few fit bit steps and just relax - and it's... 更多
This is a hidden gem in Virginia Beach, but its not really hidden, its right off the interstate. They have a picnic area with several grill stations for outside parties, kids skating area, fields for young adults to stretch out and play and a huge mountain to rest on or fly on a kite. There are walks along the water... 更多
Great little park! Nice place for walking, running, relaxing, picnics, work out stations, and spending time alone or with family outside. They have a skateboard park and a large kids playground. I love coming here for (running) race events!
Let it be known that I consider Trashmore a 4.5 star attraction. They have a skate park, a huge hill (yes, with trash in it), a playground, and it's just a good place for kids (playground), teens (skating), adults/couples (the hill and kite flying).
We are in VA Beach often but never seem to have time to stop by and see what this attraction is about. If you have young kids, this would be a nice afternoon outing. Surrounding Mount Trashmore is a huge play structure area, a lake and picnic shelters. On top of Mount Trashmore were a couple of people flying kites.... 更多
My grandfather used to take my brother and I kite flying when we were little. I don't even think I ever flew a kite with my kids when they were young. This was so much fun and it's FREE!!
Inquired about Mt. Trashmore while @visitors center. Was informed that it used to be a landfill. What a wonderful way to repurpose an area into a beautiful park. Loved seeing everyone enjoying themselves. Kudos to Virginia Beach!
