This is not walking distance from the historic sites in down town Staunton, but it is very worth the short drive to get to the park. There was a wonderful large pond with lots of ducks and four swans. You could walk completely around the pond and purchase food to throw to the ducks. I wish there was a quaint... 更多
This park is so nice & clean. Very opened, you don't feel like you're sitting on top of others. Plenty of activities to do,train ride,swimming,ponds & much more. Plenty of shade & open areas if you want the sun.
Our family has been having gatherings here for years. It's a large park, with play areas, swimming, the train ride, barbecue areas, picnic areas. There is a large shelter available for rent that has a gathering room for dining, watching slide show, or whatever. We primarily visited to take our toddlers for a ride on the electric train. The cost is $1/person (children 2 and under are free).
