One of the gentleman who runs the Visitor Center was so kind and shared a lot of the history of Smithfield with my husband and me. We look forward to visiting again this year.
Lots of local flavor, from the largest Smithfield ham to the country store. Located right in the town and very accessible. Worth a stop of an hour or so to suck up the local feeling
Nice little visitor center on Main Street in Smithfield. The people were very friendly and helpful. They called St. Luke's church and set-up a tour, being the off season for the church we would have missed out on this if not for their help.

We had heard that this is where to stop for all things Smithfield and that is true. Bill was the worker when we came and he was friendly and gave us lots of ideas on what to see and do. We managed to fill the hours we had for our time in this neat town.
