If you have a list of 'Interesting Places' that you fancy visiting while you still feel able then put this place on it. We've taken all of our grandchildren there at different times over the last year and we've never been bored. No guided tours just roam around reading the history and sitting astride the guns and cannons (well I... 更多
Get activities here. See the tunnels and meet American and British Servicemen in costume. Events take place round the year. 12th June 2016 is a Poppy Picnic

An interesting bit of history in the "Fort Gardens" in Gravesend. There are people on hand to answer all your questions about the fort and it is obvious a lot of work has been put into developing the fort.
Well loved fort with lovely walks leading up to the battlement. Tunnels underneath open to the public.there is a Victorian bandstand in the grounds where concerts are often held. It is situated on the promenade and General Gordon memorial gardens which are lovely to walk around. There is a listed building cafe nearby for refreshments. We often visit here.
Nice little well kept area. The kids loved a run around and looking at all the old guns. We need more places like this to help us remember our past.
Nicely kept park with and original Victorian band stand. Two good segregated play grounds for younger children 5-11 years near by. Loads of mounted weapons from napoleonic wars to Second World War . Selected tours around the underground tunnels . Check for times as they are not run regularly. Nice walk along the pro manado and river near by also.... 更多
